Susan is married with two grown children. Enjoys: Susan enjoys reading (fiction and non-fiction), Bible study, singing in Choir, walking (especially along the South Platte River trail to see wildlife), exercise, gardening, and traveling.
Fun Fact:
Susan has visited 45 of 50 states in America. Her goal is to visit the last 5 states. I love to travel by train on Amtrak.
What I love about my position:
I actually retired from teaching here at Shepherd, but I can’t stay away, so I am working in after-school base camp on Mondays and as a sub. I still love connecting with the kids by reading stories, singing, and telling them about Jesus. I started teaching at Shepherd ELC in 2005.
Bible verse with special meaning:
Psalm 23 – I feel Jesus protecting me and leading me through the ups and downs of my life. There is a hymn called “He Leadeth Me” (based on Psalm 23) that I love.
