Thank you for your interest in Summer Camp at Shepherd of the Hills. We have a fun summer planned and are excited for your child to join us! Camp is available for children from 18 months to age 10. (Siblings of younger campers who are older than 10 may be accepted on a case-by-case basis.) Summer Camp is a prepaid program. The cost per day depends on the length of day your child will spend with us as well as their age.

Summer Camp Registration

Our standard camp day is 8:30 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Friday:

Children 18 months to 3rd birthday | $80 per day

Children 3 years – 5 years | $75 per day

Children 5 years and older | $80 per day

You can also combine earlier mornings or later afternoons with that daily rate as follows:

7:30 am to 8:30 am | $11 per day

8:30 am to 3:30 pm | $75 per day (between 3-5 yrs) or $80 per day (under 3 yrs/over 5 yrs)

3:30 pm to 4:30 pm | $11 per day

4:30 pm to 5:30 pm | $11 per day

Camp fees will be input into Playground on Mondays and are due on the Fridays before camp attendance. You will be charged based on your pre-registered days. All changes to your schedule must be made on the Monday before camp attendance by 12:00 PM. For example, if you need to change your registered dates for the week of June 1, you must email us at summercamp@sothfamily.org before 12:00 PM on Monday, May 25th.

If your payment is not made by your due date, your child will not be able to attend the following week until that bill is paid. All Summer Camp Fees will be paid through your Playground account. If you do not already have an an account created for you, we will create an account for your child and you will be asked to register to create a profile for yourself. This profile allows you to check your child in and out each day. If you do not plan on attending Shepherd in the fall, you will receive an enrollment form via Playground. School year students who have a current enrollment form on file with us will not be required to complete this form again.

Summer Camp and Vacation Bible School

When is Vacation Bible School, and how do I sign up? VBS is Monday, June 8 through Thursday, June 11. Friday, June 12, will be normal hours for all summer camp students. During VBS week, Summer Camp hours will be from 12pm – 3:30pm for children 3 years and above, with aftercare available from 3:30-5:30pm at the regular BASE Camp rate. There is NO before-camp care M-Th of VBS week. If your child is in the Toddler program, they will attend normal camp hours and be dropped off as normal. If your child is registered for VBS AND SOTH Summer Camp, we will pick them up when VBS is over at 12pm. If your child is not registered for VBS, you can drop them off for camp at the BASE Camp doors at 12pm. Summer Camp Registration for June 9th to June 12th will be $40 per day from 12pm – 3:30pm, and normal BASE Camp charges apply as listed past 3:30pm. Shepherd Summer Camp Frequently Asked Questions

How can I see the dates I have signed up for?

Webpage – After logging into your Playground account, look at the Application tab on the left-hand side. There you can see your submission for summer camp, including the dates you have signed your child up for.

App – After logging into your Playground account, go to the Student Profile section within the app. There you will see a schedule of all of the dates you have registered for your child.

How can I make changes to my schedule?

For any changes to your child’s schedule, please email us at summercamp@sothfamily.org with the subject line ‘Adding/Removing days for… [Child’s Name]’ and the dates you need to add or remove in the body of the email. All changes to your schedule must be made on the Monday of the week before camp attendance by 12:00 PM. For example, if you need to change your registered dates for the week of June 1st, you must email us at summercamp@sothfamily.org before 12:00 PM on Monday, May 25th.

When are camp fees due?

When do I need to drop off and pick up my child?

Summer Camp runs from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm each day. We also offer before-camp care from 7:30 to 8:30 and after-camp care from 3:30 to 5:30 for students 2.5 years and older. You will drop offand pick up at the BASE Camp entrance on the North side of the building. Camp drop off begins at 8:30 a.m. for the flat rate camp day. If you drop your child off before 8:30 am, you will be charged the before-care fee for any portion of the hour between 7:30 and 8:30. You are welcome to pick up your child beginning at 3:15 pm, and you will have until 3:30 pm to pick up your child without incurring any after care charges. All students who remain on campus past the 3:30 pick-up time will be checked into after-camp and will incur either a one or two-hour fee, depending on the time that your child is picked up. After care closes at 5:30 p.m., please be respectful of this closing time so that our closers can enjoy their summer evenings too!

Morning BASE Camp is available from 7:30 am to 8:30 am. This is a prepaid program and is not available for drop-in campers. If you have indicated that you will be dropping offanytime before 8:30, you will be charged morning camp charges along with your weekly camp fees. We staff before-camp care based on the number of campers who have enrolled for before-camp care, so please be accurate in your need for this program. If you need a specific date for morning BASE Camp, you will need to notify us at least 48 hours before that camp day via the Admin chat that will be created for you in Playground, which sends the message to the Director, Kristen Hatton, and Assistant Director, Madison Garcia.

Afternoon BASE Camp is available from 3:30 to 5:30. You do not need to pre-register for after care, but if you plan to use it either on a single-use or regular basis, it is helpful for us to know that so that we can set the right expectation with your child(ren) at pick up time as well as staff accordingly.

When are BASE camp fees due?

Before School Fees (7:30 AM – 8:30 AM)

Fees for morning BASE Camp will be added to Playground each Monday and are due the Friday before your child attends camp, along with your regular tuition for that week. These charges are based on your estimated usage from the registration form, whether or not your child attends. Example: Morning BASE Camp fees for the week of June 1st will be posted on Monday, May 25th, and are due by Friday, May 29th, 2026.

After School Fees (3:30 PM – 5:30 PM)

Fees for afternoon BASE Camp will be added to Playground on the Monday after the week your child attends and are due the Friday of that same week, along with your tuition for the upcoming week. These charges are based on actual attendance. Example: Afternoon BASE Camp fees for the week of June 1st will be posted on Monday, June 8th, and are due by Friday, June 12th, 2026.

What does my child need to bring to camp?

Toddlers – A backpack with… a water bottle, a lunch, two spare changes of clothes, diapers/ pull-ups ( with velcro side tabs) , and sunscreen to be stored at camp. A separate bag with… a fitted crib sheet and a blanket.
