Personal Information:
Kristen was born and raised in Colorado and is the second of 4 children. She married Rob in 2002, and they spent the first 6 years of their married life in England, where Rob is from. They have two children who were born in Oxford, UK, and the family moved “back” to Colorado in 2008. Kyra, the oldest, graduated from college in May of 2025 and is currently living back at home while she is preparing to take the LSAT in hopes of going to law school. Cameron is in his third year at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. Kyra and Cameron also have an older brother, Chris, who lives in England. Kristen assists in taking care of her 87-year-old mom, Carolyn, who is in a memory care locally.
Enjoys:
Kristen’s favorite pastime is watching live theater productions. She sings in her church choir. At home she also enjoys movies and television series. Kristen enjoys skiing and traveling. The Hatton family enjoys spending their vacation time visiting National Parks, and when we can, we like to visit Rob’s mom, who lives on the outskirts of London.
Fun Fact:
When Kristen was in High School, she was on the swim team and participated as a diver.
What I love about my position:
I love working in an environment where I can teach kids how much Jesus loves them. I love to watch the growth and development children go through during their time in our program. I love the little things and especially the funny things that children say! I like to be playful and allow my silly side to come out to reach the kids.
Bible verse with special meaning:
Romans 8: 38- 39 – “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
